Dani Dyer has been forced to withdraw from Strictly Come Dancing just days before the first live show of the series.

The former Love Island winner was among the 15 celebrity contestants taking part in the BBC One dance contest this year.

She was seen making her debut in the ballroom during the launch show on Saturday (September 20), where it was revealed she'd be partnered with professional dancer, Nikita Kuzmin.

However, in a statement released on Tuesday (Septmber 23), Dani confirmed she can no longer continue in the competition.

She said: "I had a fall on Friday in rehearsals and landed funny. I thought I had rolled my foot but it swelled up badly over the weekend and after an MRI scan yesterday, it turns out I have fractured my ankle. View 2 Images
