CHATHAM – Another person is charged with first-degree murder after a Milton woman was found dead in Chatham last year.

Jeffrey Davis initially was charged in early June 2024 with first-degree murder in the death of Louise Thomson, 27, whose body was found in a William Street South apartment in Chatham.

Davis appeared in assignment court of the Superior Court in Chatham on Monday, when a trial date was to be scheduled.

But Crown attorney Robert MacDonald told the court an indictment against Davis was being replaced by an indictment in which Davis and Shaquille Belle are jointly charged with first-degree murder.

MacDonald requested the joint indictment – which alleges both men committed first-degree murder in relation to Thomson’s death and lists the dates May 26, 2024 and June 4, 2024 –
