A Canadian couple faces criminal charges after neighbors complained about a huge swastika mowed into the pair’s front lawn.

The symbol representing Nazi politics appeared around Sept. 11, according to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). The swastika reportedly disappeared in recent days after another lawn mowing.

Residents in the Ontario town of St. Thomas said they saw the home’s owner crafting the symbol by cutting it into his yard more than a week ago. The home’s occupants, Timothy Van Sickle, 37, and Julia Majkutewicz, 40, face charges including public incitement of hatred and criminal harassment.

One of the homeowner’s Facebook pages also displayed pro-Nazi sentiments, according to the CBC. That account was taken down over the weekend.
