A man has tragically died a day after he was struck by a car in the Adelaide Hills.
The 76-year-old pedestrian, from Mount Barker, was hit on Onkaparinga Valley Rd in Oakbank about 7.10am on Monday.
He was rushed to hospital where he later died, bringing the state’s road toll for 2025 to 61.
On Monday, bystanders rushed to help the injured man when power lines fell dangerously close to the scene.
The car had hit a nearby stobie pole, causing the power lines to fall shortly after the crash.
Local horse trainer Kelly Randford was nearby when she heard the impact.
“I just heard the thud and then a woman screaming,” she told 7NEWS.
“I think it was the driver — she was taking her daughter to school. They were both hysterical.”
