The future McDonald’s restaurant currently under construction at the corner of Horizon Drive and G Road is a big project, as anyone driving past can see.

Long before any dirt was moved on the project, it was also a complex project as it made its way through Grand Junction’s planning department.

Community Development Director Tamra Allen said that project highlights the city’s planning process and how it works with developers to ensure they follow the city’s regulations while allowing development to happen.
