EAST RUTHERFORD — Jaxson Dart's time is now.

The New York Giants are turning to the rookie quarterback to start Sunday against the unbeaten Los Angeles Chargers, an individual informed of the decision told NorthJersey.com and The Record on Tuesday.

Head coach Brian Daboll has informed both Dart and Russell Wilson of the change. Wilson is expected to serve as the backup.

Dart, 22, replaces Russell Wilson within an offense that experienced incredibly frustrating lows as the Giants have lost their first three games for the third time in the last six years. They are one of six 0-3 teams in the NFL, but for the regime of Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen, they were brought back for a fourth year with the promise of proving this team was indeed headed in the right direction.
