The Cowboys’ top brass took the drastic step after they faced a disappointing 12-19 loss to Tulsa. Here’s a look at his buyout.

Gundy agreed to a restructured contract with Oklahoma State in 2024, which involved a pay cut. The new contract now states that if Gundy is fired without cause on or before December 31, 2027, his buyout is set at $15 million. This clause comes into play now that he is out. If he were fired without cause later, Gundy was owed $10 million.
