A 31-year-old father has been charged after police allege he drove dangerously through an Oshawa high school field and nearby walking trail upon learning his child was involved in a fight.
Durham Regional Police say on Sept. 19 around 3:40 p.m. they were called for reports of a vehicle driving dangerously through the parking lot and sports field of G.L. Roberts Collegiate Vocational Institute on Chaleur Ave., in the Cedar St. and Phillip Murray Ave. area.
The vehicle allegedly “was seen driving dangerously toward students in the area before fleeing along an adjacent waterfront trail.” Durham cops said they located debris from the vehicle nearby.
The driver was identified as a parent of a student at the school. Police said the man had driven through the property after learning his child
