Rain is set to sweep the New York City area this week, starting Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
Showers and thunderstorms are possible Tuesday night into early Wednesday as a cold front moves through the region. That will be followed by more chances of wet weather for much of Thursday and into the weekend.
“We have been drier than normal. This month for Central Park, we’re just about an inch [of rain] below normal,” the NWS’ James Tomasini said. “Coming up this week and through the weekend, we’ll have plenty of chances to get some more rain.”
