Some TikTok users are making content in response to a viral claim of a rapture coming, a Christian belief about believers ascending into heaven, and associated with end-times.
Some of the posts seen by the Desert Sun have garnered thousands of likes and are in jest, giving tips to users about how to prep for it or what to do if they’re left behind on Earth.
In a post with more than 47,000 likes, a user by the name of Jenna Lu talks about what she’ll wear if she’s “chosen for the rapture” and that she’ll livestream her ascent and post videos about what heaven is like. Another user, Practically Perfect Family, posted a TikTok about preparing her husband “because there is no way he is going anywhere” and showed him taking notes
