NEW YORK, NY (CBS) – A writer for the Emmy-award-winning FX show “The Bear” claimed he was unfairly kicked off a Metro-North train.
Alex O’Keefe shared video of the incident on his social media.
O’Keefe said a white woman on the train told him to correct how he was sitting, then complained to a conductor, who called police.
“The conductor said ‘correct your seating,’” O’Keefe said in an interview with CBS New York. “I said ‘how am I sitting?’ She said ‘you’re taking up two seats.’ I said ‘no I’m not,’ and ‘we have a completely empty train.’ While she’s calling police, the old lady who reported my sitting posture, one of the ladies sitting there with her said to me ‘you’re not the minority anymore.’
The incident happened Thursday on a train heading to New Haven.
