A man is behind bars after he was accused of shooting his brother over a $40 dispute, according to the Melbourne Police Department.

The arrest affidavit stated that the brothers had made an agreement to split the cost of a one-day boating outing during Labor Day weekend.

One of the brothers, Quentin Mosquera, decided to go to Publix and brought sandwiches before heading out on the boat.

Mosquera demanded that his brother, Zachary Ramsey, repay the money that was spent. However, Ramsey said he would pay him back another day, the arrest affidavit said.

Days later, Mosquera allegedly texted his brother asking for the $40 to be paid back via Cash App.
