PHOENIX – Heavier afternoon rush-hour traffic is expected Thursday on westbound Interstate 10 in Phoenix as well as the Loop 101 in Glendale before the Sept. 25 football game between the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks.

State transportation officials advise those heading to the game to allow extra time and plan to arrive well before the 5:15 p.m. kickoff at State Farm Stadium. Parking lots will open at 1:15 p.m. Thursday.

Fans traveling from the southeast Valley should consider using westbound/northbound Loop 202 to bypass I-10 in the downtown Phoenix area, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
