TURLOCK, Calif. —
A pedestrian has died Tuesday morning after being hit by a Union Pacific train, the Turlock Police Department said.
The crash happened somewhere between Golden State Boulevard and Fulkerth Road, police said.
The following roads are closed while officers investigate
Golden State Boulevard at Fulkerth Road
North Front Street and Broadway
North Front Street and Canal Drive
Police at 11:15 a.m. said officers have concluded their investigation, but the train will remain stopped until a new Union Pacific conductor arrives.
Details on the age and gender of the pedestrian were not released. It is also not known if the crossing arms were down at the time of the crash.
