The event has been staged in the city since 1284

Nottingham's Goose Fair is back again this year, as the city's biggest fair takes shape. The annual event is now just days away from its opening on Friday, September 26, at the Forest Recreation Ground, which is already filling up with rides and stalls.

The 10-day event will bring 350 attractions , including the world's tallest portable drop tower. Skyfall is a new entry for this year's thrilling attractions and stands at an impressive 80 metres high.

The fellow steampunk-themed Time Machine will also celebrate its first Goose Fair visitors this year. Classics such as dodgems, two giant wheels and multiple waltzer rides will also be present at the event.
