PINEDALE, Wyo. — Earlier this month, the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) responded to a report of human remains discovered by hunters near the Sweetwater Gap Guard Station at the south end of the Wind River Mountain Range.
On Sept. 6, deputies and detectives located disarticulated skeletal remains along with a tent and personal items in a remote area near Sweetwater Gap. Preliminary findings suggest that the remains have been there for approximately five years and belong to an adult male.
