JAMMU: BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh on Tuesday said that the new-found soft stance of the National Conference (NC) and the PDP on JKLF chief Yasin Malik exposes their hypocrisy and their readiness to lend political support to a hardcore terrorist and anti-national.

Reacting strongly to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s remarks that Yasin Malik has given up violence, Chugh said such a claim amounts to treachery against the nation. He reminded Abdullah that Yasin Malik became a dreaded terrorist during the tenure of his father, Farooq Abdullah, as Chief Minister, and was involved in several heinous acts including the abduction of Rubaiya Sayeed.
