FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons' kicking saga continues as head coach Raheem Morris said Monday the Falcons will bring in competition for Parker Romo this week.
The Falcons signed Romo to the active roster as the team's kicker last Friday and released long-time starting kicker Younghoe Koo .
Koo's consistency had waned over the last few years, and after he missed a 44-yard field goal to end the team's Week 1 loss to Tampa Bay, the Falcons brought Romo in — along with a handful of other kickers — to compete with Koo. Romo was originally signed to the practice squad after that workout, and the decision was made prior to the team leaving for Minnesota in Week 2 that Romo would kick that weekend.
