WASHINGTON — Monday, U.S. Sen. Ted Budd (R-N.C.) chaired a Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship field hearing entitled, “Small Business Association’s (SBA) Hurricane Helene Response: One Year Later.” In his opening statement, he said the Biden administration mismanaged the SBA’s disaster loan program, which implemented irresponsible regulations and substantially increased the cost of issuing and administering disaster loans, leading to the federal government’s slow walking of critical aid.
