A drug dealer who sold fentanyl outside a drug consumption site has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in connection with an east end shooting that killed a bystander two years ago.

According to an agreed statement of facts from Monday, 22-year-old Ahmed Mustafa Ibrahim admitted to participating in a robbery outside the South Riverdale Community Health Centre on Queen Street E. near Carlaw Avenue on July 7, 2023.

Ibrahim said that by participating in the robbery, he created an "objectively dangerous situation" which posed a risk of bodily harm and resulted in the killing of Karolina Huebner-Makurat.

Ibrahim was among the drug dealers who regularly sold illicit narcotics, primarily fentanyl, to people who used the now-closed supervised injection site , which did not itself provide narcotic
