Emporia State University will host their 2025 Family Weekend on Saturday, Sep. 27. Students, families, friends, and all else are invited on campus to enjoy the many activities planned for the weekend.

The activities will kick off at 10:00 a.m. with the Hornet Walk, where the Emporia Marching Hornets will lead the ESU football team from the ESU Pedestrian Mall to just outside of Welch Stadium before the game’s kickoff.

After the team’s arrival, Live at the Hive will provide a tailgating experience to all those attending the game, complete with food trucks, music, and lawn games from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

From there, families can make their way into Welch Stadium with free entry to attend the football game against the 2-2 Pittsburg State Gorillas. Kickoff for the game is scheduled at 1:
