Bodies found after early morning fire rips through Southwest Baltimore homes
BALTIMORE, MD – A deadly fire tore through what are believed to be vacant homes on Wilhelm Street early Saturday morning, leaving two people dead and sparking a full-scale arson and homicide investigation.
Shortly after 2 a.m., police and fire crews rushed to the 1900 block of Wilhelm Street following reports of a structure fire in Southwest Baltimore. Firefighters arrived to find multiple homes engulfed in flames and immediately began battling the blaze.
Once the fire was under control, a K-9 unit was deployed to search the damaged structures. Inside, two deceased individuals were found among the charred remains. Their identities and causes of death have not yet been confirmed.
