Headless horsemen, dancing zombies, and more than 1,000 jack-o-lanterns, Hallowe’en in Greenfield Village returns next month, celebrating the spooky season with a historic flair. The event, now in its 45 th season, will take place over 16 evenings from Oct. 2 – 26 at Dearborn’s Greenfield Village at The Henry Ford museum. Ticket sales have been brisk, with many dates already sold out.
“Greenfield Village is one of the larger outdoor historic museums in the country, and we are able to transform it into Halloweentown,” says Jim Johnson, director of Greenfield Village. “It’s a very large-scale experience that celebrates the different aspects of the historical celebration of the holiday but also some contemporary aspects of it as well.”
