Former Vice President Kamala Harris sounded decidedly unenthused when asked if she supports democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani for mayor of New York City.

Harris’ tepid answer: “Sure,” according to The Daily News.

Harris gave the lukewarm response during an interview with Rachel Maddow on MSNBC on Monday night.

Harris said that she’s optimistic about rising stars like Mamdani in her party.

When asked about “mainline Democratic shyness and agitation” about the Queens assemblyman possibly winning City Hall, Harris said: “Look, as far as I’m concerned, he’s the Democratic nominee and he should be supported,” according a transcript that was rushed to members of the national media Monday night.
