MISSOURI (KFVS) - AT&T is working to fight copper thefts and is offering a reward for information.
The company says it is offering a reward of up to $20,000 for tips that lead to the arrest and conviction of people involved in copper cable theft or its attempted sale in Missouri.
They say you should report any unmarked vehicles or people cutting and removing cable.
You can remain anonymous and should call your local law enforcement agency and AT&T Global Security at 800-807-4205.
The reward is valid for leads received by February 1, 2026.
According to AT&T , between June and December 2024, the telecommunications industry experienced nearly 6,000 reported incidents of copper theft and vandalism nationwide.
