Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has locked in a date with the US President, the White House has confirmed.
Mr Albanese will have to wait until after the United Nations General Assembly to meet Donald Trump with the pair due to sit down next month.
A White House official told the ABC the two leaders will meet on October 20.
It is set to be a substantial meeting with a potential Oval Office audience.
Mr Albanese has attempted to lock in a meeting with the US leader since Trump's return to office, however multiple attempts have fell through.
The PM and Trump were due to meet at the G7 summit in Canada in June but the US leader had to make a late dash to the White House amid escalating Israel-Iran tensions.
