New Delhi: Seasoned Indian batter Shreyas Iyer has requested the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for some break from the red-ball cricket. The middle-order batter has citied fatigue and back stiffness as the issues behind his demand.
According to a report in the Indian Express , Iyer wrote a letter to the Indian cricket board on Tuesday saying that he wants to remain off the ground for a while as it is taking a toll on his physical health. However, a reply to Iyer’s letter is still awaited.
