SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Early Tuesday morning, our team of meteorologists captured a lightning show from our Ozarks First tower camera in Springfield.

Check out the video at the top of this article to see a bird's eye view of the lightning that stuck Springfield this morning, along with rain our crews captured. Around 7:30 Tuesday, Springfield saw heavy rain, thunder, and lightning passed through the area.

Through about 3 p.m. Monday, about 0.65 inches of rain has fallen at the Ozarks First studios on E. Division in Springfield. There are higher totals to our south and west. Branson has received about 4.2 inches through 3 p.m.
