For many of us, travel and food go hand in hand. Some of the best memories are made when you taste a destination's culinary staples, snag a reservation at its most coveted restaurant, and eat where the locals go.

Tripadvisor released its annual Travelers' Choice Awards: Best of the Best Restaurants on Sept. 23, highlighting the top-rated restaurants worldwide based on real traveler reviews between Aug. 2024 and July 2025. The 2025 awards span eight categories, from best fine dining to date night, for travelers to add to their bucket lists. These winners comprise less than 1% of the platform's 8 million listings.

"Tripadvisor's Best of the Best Restaurants are celebrated for their extraordinary cuisine, attentive service, and remarkable locations, where most importantly, diners go to make special memories," said Tripadvisor President Kristen Dalton in a statement. "From hidden local gems to one-of-a-kind destinations, Tripadvisor's community guides travelers to restaurants that become cherished favorites or once-in-a-lifetime experiences, all backed by trusted reviews."

From a traditional steakhouse that celebrates the Argentinean tradition of asado steak to a modern Indian eatery in Prague where every dish is packed with flavor, here are the best restaurants of 2025, according to Tripadvisor.

Best fine dining restaurant: Fogón Asado in Buenos Aires, Argentina

In Argentina, asado – which means "roast" – is a beloved cultural tradition where families gather over a barbecue. Fogón Asado elevates the rich heritage of asado through a multi-course tasting menu that includes tableside preparation and pairings of local wines. Diners adore how the Michelin-recommended restaurant not only celebrates its rich Argentinian culture, but also the intimate atmosphere and attentive service.

Best hidden gem: Indian Kitchen by R&R in Prague, Czech Republic

But it's not only about the views, as the restaurant serves high-end modern fare with ingredients like octopus, lamb loin and red deer loin.

Best vegan and vegetarian restaurant: Organika in Cusco, Peru
