TikTok's Beijing-based parent company ByteDance shutdown the app for about 24 hours Sunday before restoring it after President-elect Donald Trump vowed to sign an executive order on his first day in office temporarily halting a ban on the platform.

A teenage influencer who documented her cancer battle in front of millions of online followers has died, her family announced on Tuesday, Sept. 23.

Zuza Beine, whose Instagram and TikTok accounts each had about 2 million followers by Sept. 23, died Monday, Sept. 22. She was 14.

"It is with broken hearts that we share that Zuza died yesterday morning," Beine's family wrote in a post on Beine's Instagram confirming her death. "She lived 11 of her 14 years with a relentless cancer, yet lived more fully and gratefully than most. Her being changed us forever, and her dying will too."

According to her social media pages, Zuza had battled acute myeloid leukemia. She was also a member of the Glow House, an online creation group.

Several days before she died, in a Sept. 20 Instagram post, the teen wrote, "I’m in so much pain today I can’t take it."

In a caption in a previous post on Zuza's Instagram page, she wrote she was thankful for "being able to taste the most delicious foods" and "being able to do different hairstyles."

"Be grateful for the little things," the post read.

A life filled with beauty

The Instagram post goes onto say Zuza lived a life filled with beauty, as well as suffering, but was a grateful young girl."More than anything, she wanted to be a normal, healthy kid," her family wrote. "But what made her life so beautiful was how she learned to face the hardest circumstances, like her disease, and still live fully."
