It's "game on" for our new Golden Bachelor, Mel Owens, as he heads to the mansion for a new season of "The Golden Bachelor."
Owens is a former NFL player, current lawyer and divorced father of two sons who's getting another shot at love. And he admitted to On The Red Carpe that he got a case of pre-game jitters as the limos started pulling up.
"I had butterflies. I was nervous. I was frazzled, too. And then, you know, as the women were coming up, we're going, hey, I'm nervous. You're nervous, too, but then there's a certain calmness of it," he said.
There may have been a little extra reason to be nervous for Owens. He made headlines this summer for some controversial comments he made about wanting younger women to be cast on his season. He apologized for the "insensitive" things he said
