The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for Northern and Central Arkansas as an additional round of strong to severe storms is expected.
This watch includes 13 counties in Arkansas and will last until 10 pm this evening.
After this morning's round of thunderstorms, an additional wave of activity is expected to finish the day off. A line of severe storms will develop once again in the Ozarks in the late afternoon before slowly progressing through the region.
Given the atmospheric conditions, Central and Northern Arkansas have been highlighted as a region of concern, as a spin-up tornado can not be ruled out.
