SHREVEPORT, La. — The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office will host a free program called C.H.O.I.C.E. (Choosing Healthy Options Instead of Criminal Engagement) for young adults ages 12 to 17.
The class is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 27, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Community Relations and Crime Prevention Office, located at 1501 Corporate Drive in Shreveport.
The program is designed for youth who are at risk, have faced disciplinary issues in school, or have a juvenile arrest record. The goal is to educate young people on how to avoid infractions, understand the consequences of risky or illegal behavior and learn positive alternatives and effective decision-making strategies.
