Folkland Foods has opened a new organic fry manufacturing facility in Erie County, located at Troyer Farms in Waterford.
The new facility, which celebrated its grand opening recently, produces organic fries using locally grown potatoes from Troyer Farms. This development comes a year after Governor Josh Shapiro announced the project, highlighting its significance to the local agricultural community.
"We really respect our grandfather's legacy and what he built with Troyer Farms," said Zack Troyer, Farm Manager and Agronomist at Troyer Farms. "We've always wanted to give back to a vertically integrated brand and transition the farm to organic."
The facility produces frozen fries seasoned with Himalayan salt, garlic, rosemary, and Cajun spice for select retailers, including grocery store
