MARION — Williamson County Treasurer Ashley Gott pressed county commissioners Tuesday to address inconsistencies in the county’s tax levy process, raising questions about how approved budgets line up with actual tax extensions and distributions.

Gott said his office has found taxing bodies not receiving the full amounts they requested or the amounts approved by the board, noting that two years ago, almost every line was changed in some fashion.
