Erin Bates ’ husband Chad Paine is still looking for answers about her frightening medical ordeal.

The 38-year-old fought back tears as he addressed his wife’s recent health complications following the birth of their seventh baby , Henry Blythe Paine , in August.

“That last three weeks have been a whirlwind of emotions,” Chad said in a video posted on YouTube Sept. 22, “and an experience that we probably could have never dreamed or thought up.”

Chad—who married the Bringing Up Bates star in 2013—went on to thank viewers for their support amid her ongoing struggles.

“We have felt those prayers, and I know that’s what’s helped us get through this,” he continued. “It’s been a valley experience.”
