LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - All of SWLA needs rain, and there is more likely through early Thursday ahead of a cold front.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be likely Wednesday and there will likely be several rounds of showers and storms. A few strong storms will be possible with damaging winds the primary threat. Overall the risk of severe weather is very low, but it is not zero. Flooding risk also looks very low other than if rain falls in a quick time period it could cause localized issues especially in urban areas.
