GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) -- Some Page High School parents are taking matters into their own hands to revamp the school.
PHS dealt with a long list of problems last year, from HVAC outages to a leaking library roof and more. Parents realized the bond money from the county would not cover all the necessary repairs, so they launched their own fundraiser with a $1 million goal.
Now, the $1 million the PGS parents, alumni and community members are trying to raise is not just for revamping the looks and the quality of the spaces throughout the school. It is also to improve the safety of the students.
Katie Poole, a proud PHS alumna and parent, co-organized the fundraiser for PGS called Voyage to 1 million dollars.
