On Tuesday evening, the BBC confirmed that Dani Dyer would be withdrawing from this year's Strictly Come Dancing series. ‌

The announcement follows the star's appearance on last week's launch programme, where she performed before the judging panel of Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas. ‌

Despite becoming an early viewer favourite, the 29 year old has been compelled to step down from the competition. Dani revealed that an injury sustained during training was behind her departure. ‌
