LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - United ISD, in collaboration with the Texas School Safety Center, launched its new anti-threat campaign, “Threats Are No Joke.”
The initiative was announced on Tuesday, September 23, during a press conference at the Bill Johnson Student Activity Center.
Its goal is to prevent school threats by reminding students that inappropriate language in schools could result in a permanent note on their record.
Webb County Assistant District Attorney, Rogelio Soto, says students should think before they talk, stating, “In your adult life, as far as having a conviction, whether that’s going on your record.
