SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Shreveport Police Department (SPD) is searching for alleged thieves with a lot of school spirit.

The department shared a photo of a duo they believe ran off with an outdoor "Captain Shreve" decoration from a local business.

The two suspects can be seen driving a white vehicle with a pink steering wheel.

The post filled with quips " accumulated over 100 shares from residents who found the police's response to the incident humorous.

SPD is asking for the public's help in locating the two and returning the mascot to its rightful home.
