SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - Even with our first Tuesday of the fall season here in the Ozarks filled with rain and thunderstorms, officials at MoDOT are already looking ahead to the winter season.

Tod Duncan is a truck driver for St. James Transports and operates primarily in the Springfield area. While his travels don’t often go very far, he knows how important safe roads are, both in warm and cold months, for truckers like him and crews keeping roads clear.

“For them, it’s hazardous,” Duncan said. “For a truck driver, it’s hazardous. But without them, our roads aren’t clear. The product doesn’t get there safely. So, we owe a lot to MoDOT.”
