ATLANTA — Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp is set to meet with Hyundai officials as he embarks on a trip to both South Korea and Japan this fall in an effort to strengthen economic ties with the two countries, the governor's office said.

The visit from Kemp will be the first between the Georgia governor and Hyundai officials since an ICE immigration raid on the car manufacturer's EV battery plant near Savannah on Sept. 4.

More than 450 people were detained in the raid, including more than 300 South Koreans, according to the country’s foreign affairs minister.
