UTAH COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — Drivers in Provo Canyon are experiencing delays after a semi rollover that left several sheep dead, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
According to Lieutenant Cameron Roden with the Utah Highway Patrol (UHP), around 2 p.m. Tuesday, a semi hauling sheep was traveling southbound on US-189. UHP believes that the semi was going too fast for a curve and lost control, causing it to roll.
Lt. Roden stated that there are multiple dead sheep, and crews on scene are working to offload the sheep to a controlled environment. The driver was not injured in the crash, and no other vehicles were involved.
