OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — A new plaza dedicated to fostering community engagement is coming to the historic Capitol Hill area of Oklahoma City. It's set to open later this month.

"We are one Oklahoma City, we are one community with very diverse cultures," said Gloria Torres, the Executive Director of Calle Dos Cinco Historic Capitol Hill.

A part of Oklahoma City that is rich in tradition. Historic Capitol Hill is just a few miles south of the Oklahoma River.

"We were originally our own little town up until 1911, when Oklahoma City incorporated us into the broader city. And so this was at one time considered the uptown in the 20s, 30s, 40s. This is where you got dressed up to go shopping," said Torres.
