The Alzheimer’s Association is inviting Anchorage residents to take part in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s this Saturday at Westchester Lagoon.

The annual walk is a chance to honor those affected by Alzheimer’s and raise awareness about the disease. Participants can join the Promise Garden ceremony, where colored flowers symbolize different connections to Alzheimer’s — from caring for someone with the disease to remembering a loved one lost.

Registration opens at 10 a.m., giving walkers time to meet sponsors, pick up their flowers, and get ready for the opening ceremony at 11 a.m.
