MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa -- A suspect police say was on the run after allegedly shooting two people in Marshalltown over the weekend was arrested late Monday night.

On Saturday at around 7:47 p.m., the Marshalltown Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the 800 block of East Main Street. When first responders arrived at the scene, they discovered two people suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were initially transported to local hospitals. One of the victims was released shortly after, while the second victim was transported to an out-of-county medical center. The second victim's condition has not been released.
