IOWA CITY — Injuries continue to take their toll at the running back position for Iowa during the 2025 season.
After losing starter Kamari Moulton for the majority of the season opener and the next two games, the Hawkeyes suffered additional injuries at the position in each of the previous two games. He returned on Friday and paced the team with 68 rushing yards plus a rushing score in a 38-28 win over Rutgers.
Redshirt freshman running back Xavier Williams suffered an injury in a week three win over UMass and is headed for his second straight absence this week.
Jaziun Patterson will also miss Saturday’s matchup with Indiana (2:30 CT, Peacock) after suffering an ankle injury on Friday.
“Jax will not make the game,” head coach Kirk Ferentz said on Tuesday. “Patterson is out this week, a
