Uh oh.

Hours before game 157 – a Rogers Centre date that certainly felt the most important of the season thus far – Blue Jays manager John Schneider emphatically declared his belief in his team’s ability to finish off the job.

And now they’re going to have to avoid an epic collapse to prove it.

Nothing has come easily to the Jays over the past week, a team that has now dropped five out its previous six contests as they wobble to the finish line of the 162-game schedule.

The latest defeat came in front of a nervous sellout crowed of 42,927 at the Rogers Centre, a 4-1 defeat at the hands of the Boston Red Sox.
