AMES — Iowa State guard Tamin Lipsey suffered a Grade 2 MCL Sprain to his right knee in practice on Tuesday, according to a university spokesperson.
Lipsey will be sidelined 4-6 weeks, which puts him on track to return around ISU's first game of the season against Fairleigh Dickinson on Nov. 3.

Lipsey, a senior, averaged 10.6 points, 3.1 assists, 2.6 rebounds and 2.0 steals in 31 minutes per game last season. He started all 34 games he appeared in last season. Lipsey played through multiple injuries last season to his shoulder and thumb.
